Ready for Launch
Mark Lipman sent a photo of him holding a print copy of Vagabond Lunar Collection.
The original codex collection of this anthology is scheduled to be launched to the moon as part of the Codex Polaris time capsule project on February 27.
Just tell Trump it's a missile, and hopefully he'll still let it launch.
It's only one of my poems, but it's a part of me that has a chance of being preserved well past my time. Even if aliens who eventually visit our dead husk of an orb (and the moon) can't interpret the language.
I'm grateful to Mark for choosing me to be part of the project, and I can't wait to get my print copy in the mail.
If the collection becomes available to purchase online, I will let you know.

My New Collection Cant Republic is Out Now
In 2020 at the height of the COVID lockdown, I started a series of erasure poems working from the speeches and writings of Donald Trump. This became the backbone of my poetry collection Cant Republic: Erasures and Blackouts, out now from Alien Buddha Press.
From the Publisher: "With an unflinching gaze, Chad Parenteau
explores the erosion of civil liberties, the fragility of democracy, and
the thin line between speech and silence.
"Cant Republic: Erasures and Blackouts is
a dissection of what remains when words are stripped away. Every
blackout carved into the text, feels like a void heartbeat. The words
left behind all demand your attention. It’s a language of removal, where
the unsaid holds as much weight as the said."
Order it now from Amazon today.

I'm Humbled
Shown here is a sampling of the discs of the various works of literature that will go up to the moon as part of the Lunar Codex project this winter.
The Vagabond Lunar Collection, which I have a poem in, will be included in this launch.
If I can't leave the planet just as things could get a lot worse, I'm glad one of my poems can get away.

Stone Soup Croutons, 5-8-24: Quiet First, Then Peace
Stone Soup Croutons is a weekly poem I write using lines and impressions selected from Stone Soup Poetry's open mic readers and features. I figure out a title (and sometimes the rest of the poem) later. You can read the other ones I've done since 2015 here.

Quick Update
On the advice of Lunar Codex founder Samuel Peratla, Mark has changed Vagabond's forthcoming moon-bound anthology to The Vagabond Lunar Collection.
I Have a Poem Going to the Moon!
It's my great honor and privilege to present to you the poets of The Vagabond Codex, an anthology created specifically to be included in the payload for the Polaris rocket, which will be launching to the moon in November 2024.
