I have a feeling Garth Ennis knew something about Neil Gaiman, who appears in the form of this stand-in, Roger, in Cassidy: Blood and Whiskey by writer Ennis and artist Steve Dillon.

A Moment of Comics
Wonder if anyone remembers that Garth Ennis run on Punisher where he inspires impersonators. One of them is called Payback, who kills people who run corporations. Punisher kills him not because he's a murderer, but because he was sloppy and also took out innocents. From Punisher #12 (volume 5) by Ennis, drawn by Steve Dillon.

A Moment of Comics,
No matter how low your station is as a comics creator, you can always shit on the poets. This page is from Preacher one shot Cassidy: Blood & Whiskey where the title character has to deal with goth poetry on top of a pretentious vampire and his hangers-on. By Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. Happy National Poetry Month. More examples of poet-hating are coming.

A Moment of Comics
"Is it only me, or do poems that don't rhyme reflect a fundamental lack of effort?" A poetry critique from The Devil in Hellblazer #83 by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. Been wanting to use this page during National Poetry Month for a while. Ennis has always exhibited this attitude towards poetry. Personally? Poems that are centered on the page reflect lack of effort.
