Ibbetson Street #40 Has Hit the Stands
Ibbetson Street #40 is packed with poets. Many of which I either know or have appeared alongside before. People like Timothy Gager, Teisha Dawn Twomey, and Marge Piercy. Then there's the photo by Jennifer Mathews. I'm excited to have one of my earliest pantoums (also one of my favorites) appear here. Thanks to editors Doug Holder, Harris Gardner and Rene Schwiesow for accepting my work. You can order a copy of this issue over at Lulu.

Teisha Dawn Twomey is Featuring at Stone Soup this Monday
Read an excerpt from her new collection in today's Stone Soup Servings over at Oddball Magazine. Then be in the audience this Monday to buy a copy.
October 31: Teisha Dawn Twomey Returns to Stone Soup
Teisha Dawn Twomey hasn't featured at Stone Soup since 2014. I promised to have her back when she had a new collection out. That time has finally come. Join me this Monday as we welcome Teisha as she reads from her new collection, How to Treat Pretty Things. The night isn't officially Halloween-themed, but if you want to show up and read in a costume, I won't stop you (no enacting out any slasher fantasies in your brother's hockey mask or uncle's overalls, Trump masks are okay if I can film you). Or read from your favorite deceased poet. Fun will be had one way or another.

Scenes from Wilderess House Literary Review's 10th Anniversary Bash
Yesterday I was late getting to the Out of The Blue for the celebration of this acclaimed ten year old online web journal, but I got there just in time to get on the open mic and read a revised version of the first poem I ever had published in WHLR ("Charon's Slow Day," retittled "Charon Works Through Lunch") More importantly, I made it in time for cake.
I even got to see Tim Gager too.
Maybe it was the new beard but when others offered to take pictures of Tim, Teisha and me with my camera, Tim wanted to mug in front of the gallery's microphones. He was picturing us doing a rendition of a CSNY song.
Good times.
The cake was presented, and there was much rejoicing.
And when we were finished photographing the cake, there was even more rejoicing.
WHLR founder Steve Glines makes the first cut.
Julia Carlson and Teisha Dawn Twomey.
Beatriz Alba Del Rio.
Awwwww!
Good times.

Lo and The Black Swans in July
From former Cambridge Poet Populist Lo Galluccio:
Hello friends,
Hello friends,
Happy
summer! I'll be performing with my band, Lo and the Black Swans, on
Friday night July 15th at The Arts at the Armory cafe with two amazing
poets who will open the evening: Teisha Twomey, author of How to Treat
Pretty Things and Nicole Terez Dutton, Somerville Poet Laureate and
author of If One of Us Should Fall.
The
band will perform some iconic covers and original tunes from Lo
Galluccio's two CDs -- Andres Amitai Wilson on e.guitar, John Voigt on
bass, and Michael Aguiar on percussion with Lo on vocals/lyrics.
It should be a really fine night of poetry and music.
The Armory is at 191 Highland Ave, in Somerville between Porter and Union Squares.
Cover is $10
.

Belated Congratulations
Kudos to Teisha Dawn Twomey for becoming the new Poetry Editor of http://www.whlreview.com/
More kudos to Timothy Gager for his return to WHLR as Fiction Editor. He writes more about it on his blog.
I've been involved with the journal as a contributor for years, and I think Irene Koronas was the editor for that entire time. I'll be interested to see what happens next.
