Emergency Cute Injection!

For the last couple of week's of posts, I've either been kinda mopey or just throwing out details in my writing/publishing life that most of you likely don't care about. Time to put some cute stuff here. It's all the rage on most blogs, but unless I have a cute child to post photos of every other day, I'm screwed.

Luckily, I have a sister with one of those cute ugly dogs. Meet Smokey, the critter who my Mom has dubbed my "nephew."

I know it's also all the rage to insert text into cute animal pictures, pretending the animal is saying the words. But I've spent enough time with Smokey to know he's just crazy. My name for him was "Crazy Dog" for so long that when I actually called Smokey by his real name in front of Lynne, she had no idea I was referring to him. When I look at that picture above, I can only imagine Smokey giving out a maniacal laugh, and it's hard to convey that with just text.

The photos are from my sister's PCA, Karen. The picture above is the only one in existence where Smokey actually has his tongue inside his mouth.

Subsequent efforts to duplicate the first photo have proved completely...

and utterly...

unsuccessful.
