These are some shots from the open mike on August 24th. We had a feature cancel on us for the second time in a row, so I decided to step up with some good pictures for an open mike that was not only full and lively but was also blessed with an early appearance from Bill Barnum (he often comes later, sometimes missing the feature or the show entire causing us to ofter start up again for his performance, which I'm told he rehearses for a great amount of time before each open mike he goes to).
I also managed, back in June, to get a clip of him performing his classic poem,
"Cockatoo." Expect that to be up by next week.
One way or another, this man will be around long after most of us other poets are gone. I think it's good that I keep reminding people of that.

Just a correction, Bill's middle initial is "J."
His full name is William Johnson Barnum. I've designed enough flyers with his name (you can see a partial gallery here) when we were in Cosmic Spelunker Theatre together so I had to render his name the way he wanted to see it.
