Waiting For My Passport
As of last week, it was finally decided that I'll be going to American Samoa for my job. At least a week away.
I waited until the final hours of a long weekend to report this because The past two weeks have been simply grating in both applying for the both the opportunity to go and the passport (which time restraints required, so I went through with this not knowing if my efforts and extra cash would be worth it). This on top of everything else happening at once while at work that makes leaving the country more and more appealing.
The photo above is from when I took a shot at doing my own passport photo. A post office worker told me I shouldn't do that, and that I would acquire different versions of my photo. One with me wearing glasses, one with me not wearing glasses, one of the back of my head...
Yeah, I know. What can I say? This was in the wake of the underwear bomber. I went to the post office in Brookline, and they confirmed that the lady who talked to me in Jamaica Plain was a complete loon. I remembered there's a reason why I go to Brookline to get a lot of my chores done.
I call the look above my "OJ's driver" look.I actually prefer this to the photo they'll be using.

That's tomorrow, I hope.
