Sometimes I get carried away when I'm asking people to be quiet during Stone Soup, whether it's the feature or an open mic poet. That part of my reputation might be spreading.
Just this past Monday, Bill Barnum came to read with his aide and friend Annie. As they were waiting their turn, Annie came to me and showed a sign she made for Bill, who is hard of hearing.
Apparently my tone demands large letters in red ink.
The sign calmed me down . It also made me think that perhaps I should tone it down.
Unless you're talking in the front while I'm about to introduce the feature. I hate that.
