I've called Jla a collage poet, an open mic phenom, and several other complimentary thing since she came on the scene. Now I finally get to call her our Monday night feature poet at Stone Soup. Jla will be coming to us on August 29 to help say farewell to our hottest month of the year and help segue our new season of Stone Soup in September. Jla thrives on your willingness to participate, so I hope you will all bring your a game when she asks for the audience to throw out words for her to turn into poetry. If you're good, she's better!
