I am a big supporter of Jamilla VanDyke-Bailey and her literary magazine, The Elephant. I've appeared in their online version of the zine and read at the release party for the print version of the second issue. Now the third issue has been released with the theme "Brown Face, White Space." The release party for this issue will be at Stone Soup on March 13. This will include a poetry slam with substantial cash prizes. I hope you come by, whether it's to compete, read on the open mic, or just to pick up a copy of this important collection.
