It’s not a good feeling when an editor calls you out on your work. Especially when they’re correct to do so.
I submitted a piece satirizing Trump’s short list for the Supreme Court. The editor said it was a funny piece, and it would have been published if I submitted it before Trump had actually named his choice.
What can I say? They’re right. I had to try, but ultimately I knew it was no longer timely when I sent it.
I just can’t keep up anymore.
