I've been thinking about my mood as I'm about to get older, and this page with Suicida's rant from the first Marshal Law series collected under the title Marshal Law: Fear and Loathing. From the Epic Comics published Marshal Law #1, written Pat Mills with art by the late Kevin O'Neill.
In solidarity with trans lives, let's reprint that scene from Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Century where Mary Poppins is about to turn Harry Potter into a puddle.

Courtesy of The Comics Journal and writer David Roach, here's a page from one of Kevin O'Neill's last projects, a story written by Garth Ennis for Rebellion's Battle Action anthology. As Roach points out in his O'Neill tribute, it's a wonder these two didn't collaborate more given O'Neill's mark with Marshall Law, a predecessor in all ways of Ennis' The Boys. Is it appropriate to feel sad that this is O'Neill's only work with Ennis while also feeling relieved that Alan Moore got a hold of O'Neill first?
More tribute to the late Kevin O'Neill. Here's the opening page of the first issue of Death Race 2020, an official(?) sequel to the Roger Corman movie Death Race 2000 courtesy of Roger Corman's Cosmic Comics (there's a mouthful). Written by Pat Mills and Tony Skinner, the miniseries follows Frankenstein, the winner of the 2000 Death Race, now ruler of America. In the first pages of the first issue, President Frankenstein considers granting free elections again, making this a slightly better America than the one we actually got in 2000. O'Neill, of course, doesn't skimp on the carnage or the characters walking round as if in constant roid rage.
RIP Kevin O'Neil. An amazing artist both revered and underrated. Here's a page from Volume 1 of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Before the climax, Wilhelmina Murray stares down Mister Hyde. Scripted by Alan Moore, the page might have lost half its power if anyone but O'Neil had drawn it. After years of drawing various monstrosities, In LOEG, O'Neil excels at portraying both monsters and human beings. It is no doubt his greatest work.
