When I heard this King Missile track, I thought the lyrics inspired Rich Mackin's non-protest from over two decades ago. I asked Rich if he knew the track, and he said no. He's a punk guy, so I still believe him all these years later. Still...

 

 

My Monday Morning Music

I remember being in college and reading about John S Hall, the lead vocalist of King Missile, and how he read at open mics and with Allen Ginsberg. There was a history of controversy with his "Detachable Penis song at my undergrad, but I'm going to feature the real gem on the band's Happy Hour album. I would love to perform this on an open mic.

While Steve Katsos worked on his first TV show The Missing Tooth, he also had a radio show at Framingham State College (now Framingham State University)."Frequency Alterations," his WDJM show with John Cox, ran for an all-too-short time in his college career.
