Stone Soup Croutons, 6-6-16, Trails

Stone Soup Croutons is a weekly poem I write using lines and impressions picked up from poems overheard from Stone Soup's open mic readers and features. I figure out a title later. To paraphrase Lorne Michaels, the poem doesn't go up because it's good; it goes up because it's Tuesday morning.

Rachael Eisenberg kicked off June for Stone Soup. A solid reading with a solid open mic.

I regret not getting the comics into my mix. Apologies to Reece Cotton, who is featuring next Monday, and Lady Vain, who I'm told will be there next Monday as well.

The only other thing to note is that I announced my frustration over spot 1-4 on the open mic list always being left open. If that happens next week, I promise to crumble up the open mic list and start over until the first spots have names next to them.

All of this is to say that this introduction might be more interesting than the poem. Oh, well. I had fun anyway. Enjoy.
