I'm silly sometimes.
I'm silly sometimes.
Ever ask yourself what someone is like when they're home? I did when I saw a gaggle of Jehovah's Witnesses packing up and heading hom from the Malden Center T stop.
It almost feels like a joke for Easter to already be here. Here's a card I found at the Forest Hills station that serves as an invitation to Easter mass today at the City on a Hill Church's Jamaica Plain location. As the card says, "He Lives."
Whoever works at this booth in the Orange Line's Malden Center stop has the best collections of religious tracts I've seen in a while. There's even a Jack T. Chick comic I've never read before!
A particular political party has been having a time with it's posters being ripped down. That said, I'm not surprised it happened at Ruggles so close to the station's police office.
Coming home from work before the holiday break, I saw a person with this jacket at Forest HIlls train station with a jacket that read "Choose to Be Kind" on the back. I think that makes for a perfect first reminder for 2026.
While my girlfriend stayed home in bed, I got to go to work in a near-empty bus. And they say I don't know how to party!
Oscar L Gude Jr, is the apparent name of the person who handed me the paper above. I couldn't find him online, save for a person who passed away in 2024. Given the family the document lists at the end, it doesn't appear to be the same person and possibly not a relative. He was on the 31 bus just a few weeks ago entertaining the driver with musical selections on his person sound and light system.
He handed me and everyone else within reach the following words (corrections only made when clarity was in question):
"HEAVENLY Father JEHOVAH GOD"
Last Friday night while heading into town, I saw three students shooting for either a documentary or other type of film. Might have been MassArt students given I was on the E Train. The driver didn't even take notice. Makes me wonder what films I've been part of without knowing.
The Jehovah's Witnesses are often at Forest Hills. The train stations, like all train stations, is a huge spot for churches to work their conversion racket. This picture is from my trip out to the city yesterday.
Had this "Is This Your Last Day?" pamphlet handed to me in Forest Hills. This hits differently a week later after Jeff Taylor's death.
