In Search of a Goat with a Vote

I would love to write something up about the Goat with a Vote group which was active in 2000. The above photo was taken from the debate at the first George W. Bush and Al Gore debate at UMass Boston on October 3, 2000, but I first encountered them during the Republican National Convention earlier that same year in July and August.

Little Victories

Took this Hancock photo after a doctor's visit. I have at least one more appointment this week, maybe two if I'm "lucky." If I can get a month off in September and can just enjoy the city, I'll be happy.

Victory Lap

Took this photo of the John Hancock just after we locked up the Community Church of Boston building after day and night one of the Boston Poetry Marathon. I was going to photograph it again on Sunday afternoon but had to leave early due to an emergency. Thanks to everyone for their patience as I continue to upload videos today. photos will be available on the Boston Poetry Marathon Facebook group page and later on its Instagram page. And its underused Bluesky page if I have time.

Grateful

Thanks so much to co-organizers Christina Liu and Xtina Strong for making this years' Boston Poetry Marathon such a success. Thanks to everyone who participated as a reader, as a recorder of the event, as an audience member. I promise to share photos and video from the event tonight. Check out the Boston Poetry Marathon social media pages later.

Dropped off posters at the Community Church of Boston for next week's Boston Poetry Marathon. Took my first shot of the John Hancock Tower this summer. I'll be back soon.

This Happened a While Back

The Brigham and Women's Hospital nurses strike rattled me as I was scheduled for a procedure that week when it came to a head. Next time a strike happens, I have to try and go out and take photos.Everyone should be making more money.

Tickle Me Purple?

Is this a new city initiative? I have to admit, painting the mailboxes purple (or lavender maybe) does make the graffiti look a little more needlessly garish.

Your Weekly Dose of God

Found another standard "God Bless America" pamphlet they print out every June. God better hurry up and bless us. I don't know how much longer we have.

I Dunno...

Is this supposed to be a flex? Because I'm not sure it's really a flex.

Your Weekly Dose of God

A bag of religious paraphernalia I found just lying on the sidewalk. The card with the cross right on the bag starts with the words:  "Somebody loves you - more than you know."

Next Bloom

Since the surprise blueberry sprout last summer, every time I see a fresh bloom outside our home, I ask myself if it was here last year.
