Breaking Mass Poetry News

Following the news that January Gill O'Neil,  was standing  longtime Executive Director, today's Mass Poetry's newsletter also announced the following:

"We’re proud of all the January has achieved at Mass Poetry, and we’re excited about a number of upcoming developments. You’ve certainly caught wind of this: Mass Poetry and Grub Street are awaiting final word from the City of Boston whether their joint bid to open a Narrative Arts Center at 50 Liberty Street on Fan Pier will come to pass. We anticipate learning the final results any day now.

"As a result of this development and others, Mass Poetry’s leadership has decided to place the 2019 Massachusetts Poetry Festival on hold for now. This will allow us to launch a strategic planning process in January 2019 as we chart Mass Poetry’s future course and to think through how the Massachusetts Poetry Festival might evolve. The festival will be back, bigger and better than ever, but for a brief while, we hope you’ll bear with us while we think through where, how, and when we host the next festival."
More information to come.
