Can't help but think of this one poet who became a real standoffish snob after I had offered them a Stone Soup feature in April.
They didn't respond for weeks, then got defensive when I pushed for what was--at the time---a much needed answer.
Their final response: "I am simply too busy at this time..."
Even before everything hit the pandemic fan, I couldn't help thinking to myself, Yeah, good luck with that.
