"Daffy's Rhapsody" was recorded in the 50's by Mel Blanc in his prime. I first heard it in '92 or '93 when it was available as an audio segment at WDJM, Framingham State College's student radio station. For my one semester as a DJ, I played it whenever I could fit it (i.e. likely too much).
In 2012, they turned it into an animated feature. I can be neutral or lukewarm when it comes to computer animation, but when it comes to this clip, I love it. You can sense they were struggling to keep up with Blanc's performance. The added voice of Elmer Fudd is almost intrusive but doesn't spoil it. Not much like it today.
Last year, my girlfriend took me to see Warner Brothers Present Bugs Bunny at the Symphony. They performed music from old classics like "What's Opera, Doc?" as well a smattering of newer shorts. I'm surprised this wasn't included! A rare blend of old and new that works.
