Last Friday, I went to work soaking wet only to realize I left my ID card behind. In recent weeks, this is lead to me getting chastised by certain staff members, even though they knew me.
I went in expecting a fight.
Instead, different people were at the door, and all they did when I flashed the “incorrect” card was offer me a tissue for my glasses.
I’m holding out for that kind of luck and kindness this week. Starting this morning, if it’s not asking too much.
