May 1: the Immortal Deta Galloway Helps Us Celebrate Stone Soup's 50th

For months, I've been hesitant to schedule anything for Stone Soup in May due to a misguided hope that we could still potentially gather in person for Stone Soup Poetry's fiftieth anniversary. A false hope. Due to the way the pandemic has played out, I can't in good conscience ask any of you to gather out of concern for our more immunocompromised friends. But we can still be together online.

Thanks to those who have been asking what's going to happen on May 1st, the day Stone Soup was founded back in 1971 by the late Jack Powers.

Here's what's going to happen on May 1st.

We are going to have as many people on the open mic as a Zoom call can handle, and we are going to feature Deta Galloway. Much thanks to Cambridge Poetry MashUP's Toni Bee for helping to make this happen.

Join us on May 1st from 3:00 to 6:00 PM ET by clicking this link.
