How It’s Been

This is the long and not completely safe road I often walk down on my way to work. I take it only in the morning and on weekends when there is less traffic.

I walk facing traffic in case any vehicles try to kill me. It hasn’t happened yet, but I have faith in this bunch.

I started taking this road in October when the pandemic was still something being acknowledged (mostly) .Over the last few weeks, there have been more and more cars. It makes me wonder if I’ll have to cross this way off my commute options soon.

This morning, I had to get out of the way of a jogger.

Jogging down this road.

Away from traffic.

Completely oblivious to how close the cars were to clipping him.

That’s the new normal I guess. Complete with new suicidal tendencies. Can’t wait to see a family of evening Bluebike riders waiting to get picked off.
