This is the last pair of glasses I can wear with any level of comfort. The only other pair I have are too old a prescription, but I'm holding on to them just in case.
When I got my new lenses in July to replace the ones melted by an incompetent optician, I put them on my then-latest frame. When my then-latest frame with new lenses were lost in the ocean, I had to go back to this scratched up but sturdy pair of yesteryear.
I ordered the exact same frame I lost, and they had to be sent from Hungary. After that, it's two to three weeks to get them fitted for brand new lenses.
If the frame comes in this week, I could have my new glasses by the end of September. Just in time to get them scratched during a camping trip on Columbus Day weekend!
