Since we're celebrating Saint Patrick's Day this week, I wanted to do something positive and feature an Irish poet I know. Thus we have Gene Barry, founder of the Blackwater International Poetry Festival, which I would have gone to if not for the pandemic. I respect Gene a lot and hope I can meet him someday. Until then, we can still enjoy his work. Let's enjoy two of his poems from Lothlorien Poetry Journal.
