Dear poetry friends,
Join us this Tuesday, August 23 at 6:30PM outdoors at the Johnson Cottage in North Andover to hear our feature poets Jason O’Toole and Christa Lamb, followed by open mic! The Johnson Cottage is part of the North Andover Historical Society at 153 Academy Road, North Andover. Bring a chair to sit on!
Jason O’Toole, a member of the North Andover (MA) Poet Laureate Committee, was an original voice in the NYC hardcore punk scene. He published two volumes of poetry, a chapbook, holds an MBA from St. Joseph’s College of Maine, and a BA in Social Theory from The New School. He was the vocalist of the NYHC band Life's Blood and continues to record commercially unviable music. Other published poems can be found in Gargoyle Magazine, Nixes Mate Review, and Boog City as well as anthologies such as Poets with Masks On (Finishing Line Press).
Christa Lamb is a neurodivergent life coach, writer, activist and artist who resides in North Andover, Massachusetts with her partner and child. Christa has done paintings for comedian Amy Schumer and Christa's long time friend, comedian Colin Quinn, whose painting has been seen on television and online interviews. Colin Quinn said it best, "Christa is a Renaissance woman." She is also a member of the Poet Laureate Committee. Presently, Christa is working on a memoir about her journey living forty-five years as an undiagnosed autistic person. You can follow her journey on Instagram: @neurodiverse_coach.
