Thinking about Jack Kirby's Celestials from his Eternals comic. Steve Englehart (along with artists Marshall Rogers and Joe Rubenstein) put Kirby's idea to good use in their Silver Surfer run from the eighties. In issue #5, they pretty effectively express the scope of the Celestials in a single, multi-panel page.
