At the end of the summer, my girlfriend started her recovery from a knee injury with crutches and a wheelchair. Last Wednesday she revisited the same beach she had to be carried onto in August. This time, she was proudly standing on both feet. Today, she returns to work after a two month absence. There is no elevator or chair lift at her school, so she had to walk up two flights of steps to her classroom. I'm proud of the progress she's made. Wish her luck on her first day back, friends.
