2022 was also the year we lost Diane Noomin, another pioneering woman cartoonist. Below is a segment from her story "She Chose Crime," published in 1972's Wimmen's Comix #4 from 1974. In the tale, Noomin's recurring character DiDi Glitz goes to extreme measures to secure a future with her child conceived with a married man who brushes her off. It's amazing and sad how so much work from nearly fifty years ago has regained timeliness due to all of today's horrors.
