Today

A woman at work--someone I never spoke with before] stopped me in the hallway and said she saw me all the time on [name of street close to my house withheld]. 

She asked if I would let her give me a ride if she stopped.

I told her there's no safe way to stop on [name of dangerous street close to my home withheld], but I thanked her as best I could.

I didn't get her name. I was too shocked. Might be the nicest gesture from a total stranger ever.
