This week I worked on a poem about the late and despised Pat Robertson. For inspiration I've been looking at Edgar Lee Master's poem "Thomas Rhodes" from Spoon River Anthology. A favorite of mine in college, the book is a collection of fictional epitaphs from the equally fictional town of Spoon River. If you had to identify a "main villain" in the book, the banker Thomas Rhodes would be it. You should check out the poem up at Poetry Foundation and read the book if you never have.
