Poets should be forced to "mime out" their goofy spacing between words, pointless indents and other liberties with form that otherwise don't amount to anything.
You'd see a lot less avant garding going on, and editors like me wouldn't have to sweat so much over formatting.
Do you know how much code I have to enter on Oddball Magazine's WordPress site whenever a writer decides their words need to jump around on the page?
