No Fanfare

Here's to those who never saw me as less than human for being a peon, old and ugly. 

Praise them for no thank yous in baby talk in pitiful attempts to treat me as an equal. 

Bless them for knowing how to leave behind what they trampled with no empty gestures. 

Here's to them.
