Dear Boston Herald
Now I'm officially ashamed to live in a two-paper town.
A child is an orphan after both parents were killed, and the AR-15 was legally bought by a person everyone is calling a kid.
But by all means, go with "Guy in a Dress" for your headline.
Maybe with the sensationalism, you can help drum up support all over the country for more anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation.
Drag Race: Chicago-area suspect dresses up as women to flee massacre site.
With the LGBTQIA+ community--the trans community especially--under prosecution and being labeled "groomers" by people pretending they don't know what that word means, this is incredibly wretched.
This isn't journalism. It's propaganda directed to the worst kind of people.

Another Poem Up for Wednesday
My Williams Carlos Williams-y poem "Sports Talk with the Fall of Democracy" is another piece inspired by my disgust towards The Boston Herald. It was just published in The Rye Whisky Review. Thanks to the editors for such a quick response.

Gutsy?
I would never have had the guts to print this front page headline. I would be afraid of finding out that someone died as the paper was going to print.

My Unused Tom Brady Poem
I probably put too much time in this blackout/erasure poem, which never found a home in any online journal and now never will. Based on a March 17 artice from the Boston Herald, I had to make some kind of commentary on the gushing praise (tinged with entitled bitterness) for Tom Brady's departure for Florida.

New American Haiku for the End of the World
What World War Three What?!?
Tom Brady might retire!!!
Bury the lead! Bury the lead!
Update: The Globe wasn't much better, but at least Brady didn't take three quarters of the front page.
And unlike the Herald's "U.S. Blamed" line, at least the Globe waited long enough for the Pentagon to go, Yep, we done did that.
