Photo of Me at the Boston Poetry Marathon by Timothy Gager

And through the magic of proper photo cropping, my hair is magically restored (kind of). Thanks, Tim!

Me Reading at the Boston Poetry Marathon While Missing the Top of My Head.

With this photo, I now have an idea what I'll look like at the podium with no hair. Which is why I might start hoping to die before that happens.

Self-Portrait at the Boston Poetry Marathon

I look like a mess, but at least the top of my head isn't cropped off.

Keep Watching

I'll be posting photos from the Boston Poetry Marathon onto my Instagram and Facebook. They aren't anything to write home about. Just some photos I was able to take while doing other duties during the event. Still, I want to be thorough in my documentation.

Hour Three of Boston Poetry Marathon is Underway

Boston Poetry Marathon is Underway!

 Here's the first hour.

and here's the second hour in progress.

Again, No Dire Reading this Friday

Check out Timothy Gager's schedule for future features and be back on August 12.

And don't forget to see Tim (and a host of others) read this weekend at the Boston Poetry Marathon.

Boston Poetry Marathon Starts Today at 4!

A picture of the Boston Poetry Marathon's final schedule is below. It should also be here. I'll be online with Carol Weston tonight, who reads at 6:49. I'll be down there at the Community Church of Boston tomorrow and reading there on Sunday. Come down to Copley Square or join online to hear a plethora of poets this weekend.

Stone Soup Croutons, 8-2-22: Bukowski's Gun Goes Off When It Wants To

Stone Soup Croutons is a weekly poem I write using lines and impressions picked from Stone Soup Poetry's open mic readers and features. I figure out a title (and sometimes the rest of the poem) later. You can read the other ones I've done since 2015 here.

I also have a book collecting the best of my first year of poems. Click here to purchase it.

Another open mic done. I have the Boston Poetry Marathon to be part of starting later today. Carol Weston will be part of it.

This poem is one more thing to do in a full day. Glad it's done. Thanks for reading.

Bukowski's Gun Goes Off When It Wants To

Assets are merged
with the October bulbs,
not buried deep enough
to grow into anything.

Bukowski only planted
beer in his shallow fridge.
