Stone Soup Croutons, 9-18-19, Garden Talk

Stone Soup Croutons is a weekly poem I write using lines and impressions picked up from poems overheard from Stone Soup's open mic readers and features. I figure out a title (and sometimes the rest of the poem) later. You can read the other ones I've done since 2015 here. To paraphrase Lorne Michaels, this poem doesn't go up because it's ready, it goes up because it's Friday morning.

Cat Dossett gave a wonderful reading Wednesday night. We had our freshman fling in our new home with a large crowd. This week was our sophomore slump. Fewer numbers, but there was still a great energy thanks to Cat and the open mic. Tried to capture it this week. Thanks for reading.

September 18: Stone Soup Welcomes Cat Dossett

Stone Soup will continue and grow in it's new home. All we need is you. And new talent. Cat Dossett is someone I've see at the Boston Poetry Marathon. I've covered her work in the past.  It will be great to give her an extended time slot. I'm excited to have her in Stone Soup's new home. I hope to see you there.

New Review Up

I'm starting a new review series called Local Hero Comics, focusing on small press comic creators. My first foray into this is a review of Cat Dossett's Vessel. Read it now at Medium.
