Your Weekly Dose of God

It almost feels like a joke for Easter to already be here. Here's a card I found at the Forest Hills station that serves as an invitation to Easter mass today at the City on a Hill Church's Jamaica Plain location. As the card says, "He Lives."

This Week's Friendly Reminder

Coming home from work before the holiday break, I saw a person with this jacket at Forest HIlls train station with a jacket that read "Choose to Be Kind" on the back. I think that makes for a perfect first reminder for 2026.

Your Weekly Dose of God

Usually, I never see sign holders at Forest Hills. Wednesday was an exception.

Woman holding sign: "Jesus is the answer for the world today, above him there is no other, Jesus is the way. (JN 15:4-5) The only doorway. (JN: 10:7, 9)"

Your Weekly Dose of God

The Jehovah's Witnesses are often at Forest Hills. The train stations, like all train stations, is a huge spot for churches to work their conversion racket. This picture is from my trip out to the city yesterday.

Your Weekly Dose of God

Had this "Is This Your Last Day?" pamphlet handed to me in Forest Hills. This hits differently a week later after Jeff Taylor's death.

Yep, JP Too

In my post about Brookline police's tendency to spraypaint over graffiti and flyers, I forgot that Jasmaica Plain--at least in the Forest Hills section, has been doing this too lately. Disappointing.

A Clearer Day

A shot I was happy with of the Forest Hill station last Friday. Hoping tonight I'll be able to look up and see something besides rain. Like the moon, or the station, or the front of my face.

Your Weekly Dose of God

Someone handed this to me at Forest Hills. Speaking as someone who has a girlfriend with student loans, screw you!

Religious tract showing distraught woman looking over piece of paper with "foreslosure" on it, words below: "You Can Be Debt Free!"

Your Weekly Dose of God

Found in Forest Hills. Translated from Spanish: "Hellfire! Tortured lost souls forever! Twenty thousand degrees and without a drop of water!"

Spanish pamphlet: "El Infierno De Fuego almas perdidas torturadas quemandose para siempre grados y sin una gota de agua"

Disappointing

So upset to see this mini-library trashed yesterday. I hope it's due to the crazy weather somehow and not vandals.
