Publications I'm Proud of in 2022: Tell-Tale Inklings
Penned in 2021, "Saint Leon"is one of the most personal poems I've written in a long time. Not everyone gets it when I read it. Too many taboos broken. I'm thankful that Mignon Ariel King got it and wanted it right away for Tell-Tale Inklings #6, which you can still order here. It might be a while before I write a poem that raw again.

SAFE DISTANCE EDITION - Stone Soup Croutons, 9-29-21: Before You Leave School
Stone Soup Croutons is a weekly poem I write using lines and impressions picked from Stone Soup Poetry's open mic readers and features. I figure out a title (and sometimes the rest of the poem) later. You can read the other ones I've done since 2015 here.

Taking a Mental Victory Lap
Thanks to Erik Gehring, Linda CArney Goodrich and Isabelle Goodrich for putting together my feature alongside Karen Friedland for the Menino Arts Center. I got to perform for friends like Toni Bee, Mignon Ariel King and several others. One of my better features. Hopefully, there will be more.

Call for Submissions: Black Women Writers and Artists
Edit: After posting this, it was brought to my attention that the email address where one would send the work wasn't included!
Send all words and art to mojo_hcp@outlook.com.
From publisher Mignon Ariel King:
Writers and Friends,
Hidden Charm Press is now accepting submissions for the print anthology Extra MoJo! #3. Guidelines are on the site. Kindly spread the word. Facebook has blocked the site's link as "hate speech," and I have deleted the HCP Facebook Page, cutting down submissions considerably.
2021 marks HCP's 10th ke. The online journal MoJo! -- which inspired the print journal -- launched in 2008. Black women's voices always matter around here! Please help to keep the press going.
Thank you,
Mignon

From the weekly open mic. Much gratitude to Mignon for keeping the poetry going after all the insanity at Capitol Hill.

Off I Go!
Happy Birthday Mignon Ariel King
I had no idea it was her birthday today! Can't believe I paired her birthday with her feature.
