My Monday Morning Music

Saw the movie Tony a couple of weeks ago. A docudrama of Anthony Bourdain's time in Cape Cod, Tony had a pretty good soundtrack. Here's one of those songs.

My Friday Evening Music

Dolly Parton took her covers seriously. She tweaked several bits of "What's Up," Which Linda Perry had to be cool with because a) she's playing on the cover and b) she's been known to rewrite verses when covering songs. At least when Dolly Parton sings that she prays for resolution instead of revolution, at least you can believe her when she says she prays. RIP Dolly Parton.

My Friday Evening Music Posted Late on Sunday Night

One last one from The Bug' London Zoo album with guest performer Spaceape."How do we get here and where do we go now?" is a lyric that sounds more poignant these days than it probably did even in the 2000s. Listen to the rest of the album!

My Monday Morning Music

Noah Berlatsky named The Bug from London Zoo as  a perfect album from the nineties. Here's the first track featuring Tippa Irie. I'll be listening to the rest of the album later.

My Friday Morning Music

A band does a new punk version of "We Are the World" is something I didn't know I needed until now. Thank you, Spike and the Gimme Gimmes.

My Monday Morning Music

Focusing on new music again this week. Starting with another band new to me.

My Friday Evening Music

I think Canadian law requires me to finish this week of Canadian artists to play more Bryan Adams. But I'm playing the one you don't hear as much as that "Summer of 69" song.

My Friday Morning Music

Continuing my nod to Canada with an Alanis Morissette song you don't hear as much on the radio anymore.

My Monday Morning Music

I can now say that I went to Canada last week. Specifically Montreal. I'll be posting about my trip later this morning and even more later this week. For now, here is more Canadian music starting with one of my favorite songs from Barenaked Ladies.

My Monday Morning Music

Let's focus on music that views summer as a positive time of year (PS I hate summer). Bryan Adams is the most logical first choice.

My Friday Morning Music

I'm indebted to the Launch Yahoo! app for playing selections like this one from Neil Young's Sleeps With Angles album.

My Friday Evening Music

While I always preferred the long version of "Toltal Eclipse of the Heart," I have to include the music video version of this song. This has everything you'd expect in a video. Did I see ninjas too? RIP Bonnie Tyler. It didn't take many songs on the radio to make you immortal.

My Friday Morning Music

My Bonnie Tyler tribute continues now and concludes later with the most obvious picks. How many movies has this song been featured in, and it never got old.

My Monday Morning Music,

Bonnie Tyler passed away last week. Starting my tribute to her this week with the first song I ever heard from her on the radio.
