First Halloween Post of the month! There aren't many places where this comic survives to be read. Freddy Krueger's A Nightmare on Elm Street was a rare Marvel gem in the eighties. Written by Steve Gerber (who was no stranger to writing about abused children), pencils by Rich Buckler and finishes by Alfredo Acala, it's a crime it never lasted past two issues. It really kept the original spirit of Freddy Krueger before the films got sillier. Enjoy a page from the disturbing "origin" story of the title character from the first issue.
