See a sample of her work in this past Friday's Stone Soup Servings column in Oddball Magazine. Then be in the Out of The Blue this Monday and grab a copy of her chapbook from YesNo Press.

It Will Happen Like This: Mary Ann Honaker at Stone Soup, August 10
It's been a while since we've had a good North Shore Invasion. I'm glad our next feature is going to be Mary Ann Honaker. In the past, she's been a open mic reader at Stone Soup, a workshop participant at the old Stone Soup workshops, and a published poet on Oddball Magazine. Then there's all the work she does in the north shore poetry community. Now she finally has a chapbook coming out from YesNo Press, and she will be reading from that this Monday. I will be looking forward to having some north shore invaders return to our open mic. Some of them haven't been back since the Out of The Blue Art Gallery moved to its current location. This will be an exciting night of poetry scenes coming together under one roof, and there's plenty of room for you to join in.

YesNo Press Is Still at Work: Meet Mary Ann Honaker
The Zig Zag Poetry Open Mic may be gone, but the press that published Zig Zag Folio, YesNo Press, is still kicking around and putting out chapbooks. This is exciting news given the next project.
Mary Ann Honaker has been in the poetry scene for a while. If you hang out in Salem or Cambridge, you may have heard her read on an open mic. She's been published in Oddball Magazine once or twice as well as many other places. When I was holding poetry workshops at Stone Soup last year, she sometimes attended with one or two early versions of the poems that make up her new chapbook, It will Happen Like This.
I hope to have Mary Ann feature at Stone Soup with this chapbook soon. Until then, you can start to whet your curiosity by reading a sample from the chapbook here.

June 2: Emily Rudofsky Kicks off June at Stone Soup
It's getting too warm to my liking. It's not summer yet, but June is starting to make it's presence felt after a relatively cool May. I feel like the Stone Soup Summer has already begun. No better way to start it than by featuring Emily Rudofsky, a poet I've been wanting to feature for some time. I'm glad her schooling is done for another yearand that she can get back to promoting Ravenous, her chapbook from Yes/No Press. School is out, but Stone Soup is more in than ever, and we have good air conditioning. Come one, come all!

February 24: Jeff Savlon and all his Unimaginary Friends at Stone Soup
I love featuring poets from the north shore. I've come to dub their
representation the North Shore Invasion, and this Monday will be no
different. The Zig Poetry Open Mic in Salem has recently released two chapbooks through it's YesNo Press. Jeff Salvon is one of them, and his Foul-Mouthed Imaginary Friends will be available for sale when he features this Monday. Get there early and experience some new poets. Incidentally, Emily Rudofsky and her YesNo chapbook Ravenous, will be featured sometime in the summer. Many exciting things coming down the pipeline at Stone Soup.
