Invite to Cambridge Poetry Festival this Saturday

Dear Friends and Poetry lovers:

On Saturday, June 7th, please come and enjoy a star line-up of local poets read from noon to six.  As Poet Populist, I will kick things off with a sung/spoken 20 minute set with bassist John Voight and then we will hear from such language luminaries as Irene Koronas, Donald Vincent, Toni Bee,  Jean Dany Joachim, Doug Holder, Jennifer Jean, Michael Todd Steffen and many more. We will have an open mike from 5:30 to 6 pm open to all who wish to share their words/verse/lyrics.

The Poetry Tent will be located on Sidney Street between Franklin and Auburn Streets, not on the River this year.  We’ll just make our own waves.

Poets who want, will have books available for sale.

As former Poet Laureate of San Francisco wrote:
Poetry is breath, blood, bone, scriptures, curses, rhythm, vowels, angels, curves and purpose.

Wise to arrive at 11:30 a.m. or so but people will be flowing in and out all day.

I want this to be a revelatory and joyful event --  hope to see you there.   There is no charge.

Lo Galluccio
Cambridge Poet Populist
