Found this art laying on the ground while walking to Dorchester last Thursday morning. The name on the back of the paper was not the most legible, but I gathered that the student was female Had the idea for this poem not long afterwards. And hey, I came up with a new name for what might be at least a semi-regular thing on this blog.
Lost Girl
Found art
forsakes diamond
saves sky blue.
Enough water
to fulfill
parent’s promise.
Bigger back yard,
sentinel trees,
cloud cover,
dream house
camouflaged,
unseen ripple.
Free fall dive
over water
forever,
summer heights
never
to fall.
