Who is Reading My Poems?

I wish I had a way to figure out why some of my poems are getting more traffic than others.

Some poems seem obvious, like my "Old Pug" PIcture to Page poem. Pictures of pugs can generate traffic.

Others, like "Monday on the Bench," I have no idea. And that one has even more hits than the pug poem. How are people finding that one?

I know why my poem for Deta is getting hits. She has a vast network of friends, and she is generous enough to share what she can of mine.

But then there's "Small Town News," a poem I enjoyed writing while channeling a little Charles Simic. It didn't seem to get a lot of attention. It was written with James Van Looy and Jan Row partially in mind, but not enough for a dedication, let alone a tag.

Now it's gone up to almost a hundred hits since last week. I wonder how?

This may be asking much, but if any of you visitors are reading this, please leave a comment on any post with a poem you like. I'd really like to know what brings some of you here, even if it's through an accidental word search.

And please take a look around. I have a lot of work to share on both this blog and my main website.

Whatever you do, thanks for stopping by.
