It's funny. I almost described David Miller's feature on January 29 as his "long-awaited first feature." I usually remember when poets read for Stone Soup, but I didn't remember that David has featured twice with Stone Soup so far. Once in 2012, the other in 2014. He even co-featured in 2018 for the Walter Howard open mic tribute. Why did I think it was his first time? Probably because David has done so much for me and for Stone Soup. I never think I've done as much for him. My memory lapses aside, I'm glad to give him a reading for his newest collection, Sprawled Asleep. Join me at the end of January as I give the deserved spotlight to the loudest quiet voice on our open mic.
