Things I'm Proud of in 2019: Oddball Magazine

For those who think I spend too much time on Oddball Magazine, you'd be surprised.

Confession. This year, it's been less than you think. I'd have to say I haven't spent enough time on Oddball Magazine.

Life gives you priorities. "Priorities" is another word to describe, "Things more important than you." And if I take a back seat, so does Oddball.

And yet, I finally got things working well by the year's end.

With the amazing writers and artists we've acquired in the six years I've been doing this, it feels like I'm working on automatic.

I never want my poetry-related activities to feel like I'm sleepwalking through them, but when I have no choice to, I'm glad the quality of the work helps make up for my laxness.

And somehow, I was able to do multiple calls for submission for special theme weeks, with time to put up new banners and new contributors. That blows my own mind.

I thank Jason Wright for allowing me to do what I do. I hope I can do more in the year to come.
