From Picture to Page: Curfew

I've wanted to do a poem based on a night shot for a while. Haven't been out in night for a while. Got my chance on Saturday. Now what?

Curfew

Dusk light
last domino
about to fall.

Time to tally
all who
want us dead.

Family
inviting you
for haircuts.

Woman
crying havok
in store

after cashier
offers to pay
for cigarettes.

Rest who
wait to
occupy all,

our stripes
a range target
unfurled.

Stars beg
for shots
close range.
