This isn't some state sponsored event at the beach or a park. This is a block, maybe two, from my girlfriend's apartment.
I see four or five other spots where they're being fired off. Just from her window alone.
It's been going on for hours.
People have set off fireworks in South Boston before. This is nothing like I've seen in two decades. This is pure hysteria.
