Tonight: North Andover Poets Corner Featuring the Powow River Poets!

From North Andover Poet Laureate Mark Bohrer.

Dear poetry friends,

We are meeting in person this summer - Experience poetry outdoors! North Andover Poets Corner will be at the Steven's Estate at Osgood Hill on Tuesday 8/17, at 6:00 PM

The Powow River Poets will be our feature. Paulette Turco is coordinating the readers. Open mic to follow the feature.

The Powow River Poets is a group of accomplished poets founded in the early 1990's by member Rhina P. Espaillat.

Powow River Poets members have won seven of the annual Richard Wilbur competitions for book length poetry manuscripts, including in 2015. Powows have also won the New Criterion, Robert Penn Warren, and Robert Frost Book Awards twice each, and the T.S. Eliot Award. And more!
Their most recent collection is The Powow River Poets Anthology II, published in January 2021 by Able Muse Press. It's a collection of poetry by 27 Powow River Poets members. It's really good! They will have books for sale.

Thank you to our host, Humara Brady, Events Manager of the Stevens Estate.

The address of the Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill is 723 Osgood St, North Andover. In case of rain, we will stay dry under the big function tent.

Hope to see you there!
