I tried to keep this series going. I tried to move the day of the series from Mondays at noon to Saturdays at noon. I tried to write them way ahead of time instead of Monday morning. Nothing worked, and the pandemic severely limited my shutterbug wanderlust. I was tired of working so hard to produce poems that will probably never be published anywhere else, just dying on this page.
Quitting was the hardest thing I ever did. You get used to a routine, especially when it involves publishing and sharing your work. It's a hard habit to break, but I did it.
This was a small part why my output was less in 2021 (but that's for another post). Ultimately, I have to view it as a good thing because it freed up my mind to write other things, things that at least have a chance of getting published beyond my blog.
I might try and bring the series back next year. I won't tell you how, but I can guarantee it will not be done the same way as before. If I go through with my idea, it just might be the ballsiest move I make in 2022.
