If Only

I wish I could have my comics work published at a certain time every Wednesday, but I can't.

In addition to my hectic schedule, my editor at The Ugly Monster works on the website during that time of night when I have no choice but to sleep.

Sometimes I'm lucky and turn my work in at midnight before I'm forced to crash. Most times, like today, I submit it in the morning before I get ready for work. By that time, my editor is asleep. 

If I'm lucky, he wakes up and can publish me in the afternoon. If not, I'm looking at eight or nine in the evening.

Between this and other publications I've become friendly with in recent months, I'm never quite sure when my work is going to drop anymore.

It's exciting, but also frustrating. 

All I can do is keep working and hope for the best. 

There will be work up later. I'll be just as surprised as you are.
