Boomerangs was a great place to browse when I lived off of Centre Street. When I moved in with my girlfriend, I had to greatly reduce my music, comics and movie collection. I hope I made many old school collectors happy before they closed their doors this month. It's sad walking by the store's husk every day.
I remember two people in the street talking about Jamaica Plain and saying it was becoming "one big thrift store." If this is true, then an institution like Boomerangs closing can't bode well for the town.
